Publishing pages at scale without value
Making many pages mainly to rank, by AI, templates, scraping or rewording, without adding value for readers. This includes mass AI-written articles that nobody checked.
How to do it
Google's spam policies name generative AI tools used to make many pages without adding value. They also name rewording other sites at scale and stitching content together. Bing says content generated at scale without oversight may be left out of the index. AI help is allowed. Google's guidance on generative AI content asks you to fact-check everything before publishing, including titles, descriptions, structured data and alt text. Some AI-written text must also be labelled under EU law, as Map each feature to its transparency duty says. Check each page against Write for people first.
How to check
The build fails any page whose data has no named human reviewer and review date. Every page made from a template has at least one field of its own, such as a price, a photo or a measured value.
