Show prices the way each market expects
Show consumer prices in the EU and UK with VAT included and US prices before sales tax, and store the tax behaviour with each price.
How to do it
The EU Price Indication Directive 98/6/EC requires consumers to see the final price, taxes included. US shoppers expect tax added at checkout. Business prices may show without VAT when the page says so. Store inclusive or exclusive with each price, so the tax service splits it correctly. Show the tax amount on the order and the invoice.
How to check
A browser test for an EU consumer shows the same total on the product page and the payment page.
