Add structured data to orders and bookings

Describe orders, reservations and deliveries with schema.org data in the email, so mail apps can show them as cards.

How to do it

Add JSON-LD in the HTML part, using types such as Order, ParcelDelivery or EventReservation. Gmail shows most of it only for registered senders that pass SPF or DKIM. Keep the same facts in the visible text.

Example

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Order",
  "merchant": { "@type": "Organization", "name": "Example Shop" },
  "orderNumber": "1042",
  "priceCurrency": "EUR",
  "price": "49.00",
  "acceptedOffer": {
    "@type": "Offer",
    "itemOffered": { "@type": "Product", "name": "Walking boots" },
    "price": "49.00",
    "priceCurrency": "EUR",
    "eligibleQuantity": { "@type": "QuantitativeValue", "value": "1" }
  },
  "orderStatus": "https://schema.org/OrderProcessing"
}
</script>

How to check

Run the email through Google's email markup tester. It reports no errors, and the facts match the visible text.
