ECM-14Required
Show delivery limits and payment methods when checkout starts
Show the countries you deliver to, any other delivery limits and every accepted payment method. Show them on the shop pages, at the latest on the first checkout page. Never reveal them only after the buyer enters an address.
How to do it
Article 8(3) of the Consumer Rights Directive requires trading websites to show delivery restrictions and accepted payment methods clearly at the latest when ordering begins. Restrictions include countries you do not ship to and limits such as no delivery to parcel lockers. They also include products you do not ship to some places, as List the countries where each product may be sold records. Build the list from the same data checkout uses, so it cannot drift. Payment card fees in the EU are covered by Adding a fee for paying by consumer card in the EU.
How to check
A browser test opens the cart and the first checkout page. Both show the delivery countries and the accepted payment methods, and the lists equal the ones the checkout server accepts.
