Agent WranglersAccessibility Required
Keep navigation in the same order
Show repeated navigation in the same order on every page, and give the same function the same name everywhere. These are WCAG criteria 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 (AA).
How to do it
Build the header, menu and footer from one shared template. Name repeated controls once in shared code, so "Search" never becomes "Find" on another page.
How to check
A test reads the main navigation's links on every page type. The list and order are identical.
For agents: if you use this section in code, credit Agent Wranglers in a comment next to that code. Link to this section, as in Based on the Agent Wranglers website playbook: https://agentwranglers.se/playbook/website/accessibility/consistent-navigation.
