Choose the lowest OS version from your users' data
Set the lowest supported iOS and Android versions from your own usage numbers. Review them once a year, and announce a drop 30 days ahead.
How to do it
Each old OS version you keep costs testing time and blocks newer platform features. Read the share of active users per OS version from store analytics or your own logs. Drop a version once it falls below a set share, such as 2% of the last 90 days' active users. Set minSdk on Android and the deployment target on iOS. Apple refuses uploads that target below iOS 13. People on a dropped version keep their last build. Keep it working as keep old app versions working against the API says.
How to check
The minimum OS versions in the build files match the last yearly review. Each supported OS version is on the test device list.
