How to do it

After sign-up, send one confirmation email and add the address only when the link is clicked. Store when and where consent was given. Bought lists contain spam traps and people who never agreed, and they ruin reputation fast.

How to check

Sign up with a test address and don't click the link. No marketing email reaches it.
