Build the setup checklist from what the account has done
APP-63Work out each step of a first-run checklist from server data, such as "the account has at least one invoice". Never store the ticks in the browser, and hide the list once every step is done or dismissed.
Keep product tours short and optional
APP-64Start a tour from a button, or once for a new user, with at most 5 steps. Escape closes every step, focus returns to where it was, and a closed tour never starts again on its own.
Measure how many new accounts reach their first result
APP-65Define one activation event, such as the first invoice sent, and record it on the server. Report the share of each week's new accounts that reach it within 7 days.
