AXS-58Required
Publish how each service meets the accessibility rules
Publish an accessibility statement for each service the European Accessibility Act covers. It describes the service, how it meets the requirements, the standard and version used, known gaps with fix dates, and how to report a problem.
How to do it
Article 13 and Annex V of the Act ask for this in the terms or an equivalent document. It must be accessible and stay up while the service runs. Annex V lists a general description of the service, what people need to understand how it works, and how it meets Annex I. Name the standard, such as EN 301 549 V3.2.1 or WCAG 2.2 AA, and the date of the last audit. Link the statement from every page footer and from the app's settings. Keep it as a web page, so it is accessible itself. Refresh it as Meet the European Accessibility Act as a legal duty asks.
How to check
A test fetches the statement from the footer link of 3 sample pages and gets 200. The page names each covered service, a standard with its version, an audit date, a list of known gaps and a contact form or address.
