WEB-249Optional
Give every item the words people use for it
Store a short list of aliases with each page, product or rule, and let search read them.
How to do it
Add an aliases field to the page data, such as "site down", "outage" and "monitoring" for an uptime page. Take them from search logs and support questions, where people use their own words. Publish the field in the JSON files and Markdown front matter, so agents can match on it themselves. Collect them for the topic index in Publish a topic index for agents.
Examples
JSON example
{ "id": "uptime-monitoring", "title": "Know when your site is down", "aliases": ["site down", "outage", "monitoring", "uptime"] }
How to check
A test sends each alias as a query on its own. Its item comes first every time.
