Make tap targets big enough

Make every touch target at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels (WCAG AA), and 44 by 44 for main controls (WCAG AAA).

How to do it

Size icon buttons at least 44×44 px. A smaller target passes only if a 24 px circle on its centre touches no other target or circle. Links inside a sentence are exempt.
