No entry records a payment, a gift or a link swap in return for a link. - How: Google's Search Essentials ask you to tell people about your site in the communities you belong to. Bing says links should be earned through useful content. Ideas that suit a small business are a yearly survey of your own prices, a free calculator and a full guide to a common question. A partner or supplier page that lists you and a story for the local press work too. Write to the people who already cover the topic with a short note that says what is new. Never offer money, a gift or a swap for the link.
