- Risk: Money lost or taken twice
- How: A buyer who pays for code the company cannot build has paid for a demo. Clone the repository on a clean machine and follow its documented commands, as [Run it from a clean checkout](https://agentwranglers.se/playbook/codebase-takeover/triage/run-from-clean-checkout.md) says. Check that the repository holds the database schema and migrations, as [Own the code in your own repository](https://agentwranglers.se/playbook/ai-assisted-development/apps-built-with-ai-builders/own-the-code.md) says. Check that the code host, domain and cloud accounts are in the company's name.
