Offer typing wherever people can speak
Give every voice input a text field that does the same job. Show every spoken answer as text on the screen as well.
How to do it
Some people cannot speak clearly, and others sit in a noisy room or an open office. Speech recognition also works worse for some accents and for many speech impairments. Deaf and hard of hearing people need the spoken answer as text, the same way Caption video, transcribe audio sets for media. People who control the screen by voice say the visible label of a control, so follow Put the visible words in the name.
How to check
A browser test completes the task of each voice feature with the keyboard alone and no microphone. For each spoken answer, the same text appears in the page.
