Updated 2026-10-21. - ID: AIF-60 - Level: Required - Chapter: [Guardrails and human review](https://agentwranglers.se/playbook/ai-features/guardrails-and-human-review) - Rule: Tell people when they are talking to an AI system, and label AI-made images, audio and video that could pass as genuine. - Risk: A law broken - Applies when: The project uses AI models, or has users in the EU. - How: Say it at the start of a chat or call, unless it is obvious. Mark generated media in a machine-readable way, for example with C2PA content credentials or a watermark from your model provider. Label deepfakes and AI-written news text visibly. In the EU, Article 50 of the AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026. Generative systems on the market before then have until 2 December 2026 for machine-readable marking. Each one says it is an AI before or at the first answer.
