# Limit prefetch proxies only if needed

- Rule: Publish `/.well-known/traffic-advice` only to limit private prefetch proxies, which load pages early for privacy browsers. Leaving it out welcomes them.
- How: Serve a JSON list that sets the share of prefetch traffic you accept, as `application/trafficadvice+json`. Set `fraction` to 0 to turn them away.
- Check: The file answers 200 with that content type.
