# Open links in your Android app

- Rule: If you have an Android app, publish `/.well-known/assetlinks.json` so links open in it.
- How: Serve the Digital Asset Links JSON as `application/json`, without a redirect. Give the app's package name and the SHA-256 fingerprint of its signing certificate. With Play App Signing, use the fingerprint Google Play shows, not your upload key.
- Check: Google's Digital Asset Links API lists the app for the site. A link to the site opens the app on Android.
