# List skills agents can learn

- Rule: Publish agent skills as `SKILL.md` files, listed in `/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json`. Give each one a digest, a hash of its exact bytes.
- How: Write a `SKILL.md` with front matter (name, description) and instructions. List it in the index with its type. Add a `sha256` digest made from the bytes you serve. The index format is a draft discovery proposal (version 0.2.0) for the Agent Skills format.
- Check: Hash the served file again. The digest matches.
