# Make tap targets big enough

- Level: Required

- Rule: Make every touch target at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels (WCAG AA), and 44 by 44 for main controls (WCAG AAA).
- How: Size icon buttons at least 44×44 px. A smaller target passes only if a 24 px circle on its centre touches no other target or circle. Links inside a sentence are exempt.
- Check: Lighthouse `target-size` passes.
