# Keep help in the same place

By Erik Bergstedt, Agent Wranglers. Updated 2026-10-20.

- Level: Required
- Chapter: [Accessibility](https://agentwranglers.se/playbook/website/accessibility)
- Rule: Put help and contact links in the same order relative to the rest of the page on every page. This is WCAG 2.2 criterion 3.2.6 (A).
- How: Put contact and help links in the shared header or footer template, so they never move.
- Check: A test reads the help links on every page type. Their order among the page's other parts is the same everywhere.

Example:

```html
<!-- In the shared footer template, used by every page -->
<footer>
  <a href="/contact">Contact us</a>
  <a href="mailto:help@example.com">help@example.com</a>
</footer>
```
