# Label list mail

- Rule: Give each mailing list a `List-Id` header, so people and mail apps can filter and manage it.
- How: Use a stable name for each list, such as `List-Id: Product news <product-news.example.com>`, as RFC 2919 describes. Keep it the same for every send.
- Check: Two newsletters from the same list carry the same `List-Id`.
