# Unsubscribe within two days

- Rule: Stop sending to anyone who unsubscribes within two days, and never ask them to log in or confirm by email.
- How: Process unsubscribe requests at once and add the address to the suppression list. Check that list in the send step itself, not only when a list is exported, so every tool and queue honours it. Gmail and Yahoo expect two days. US law (CAN-SPAM) allows at most ten business days, and EU law requires withdrawal to be as easy as consent.
- Check: Unsubscribe a test address, then trigger a send from every tool that mails that list. No message reaches it.
