# Train everyone who uses AI at work

- Rule: Give every person who builds, runs or uses AI systems for you training that fits their role, and keep a dated record per person.
- How: AI Act Article 4 has applied since 2 February 2025. Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 rewrote it from 27 July 2026. Providers and deployers must now take measures to support AI literacy, with no fixed level per person. Cover what the tools can and cannot do, the data rules, how to check output and when to tell people. Engineers who build AI features need more depth than staff who use an assistant. Repeat the training each year and when a tool changes.
- Check: A script compares the people with access to AI tools in the identity provider with the training records. It fails on anyone without a record from the last 12 months.
